建立BGP的时候提示这个错误信息，请问这是怎么回事？

在BGP建立邻居的时候提示这个东西，请问这个东西是什么意思？

很难说。 主要是说R3这个router不喜欢，或者说是不认识 邻居192.168.1.2发过来的包。  

能把两边的BGP配置贴上来么？

正如这个MESSAGE所说的“unsupported or mal-formatted message received from 192.168.1.2”，  要么说192.168.1.2上配有R3不支持的功能，要么什么地方配错了，譬如说， 相同的router ID? 或者router-id 是0.0.0.0?

如果你确认不是你的配置问题的话， 试试这条命令：

neighbor x.x.x.x dont-capability-negotiate

在两边都运行这个命令。

有可能是bug。 要看你的IOS的版本是多少。

BGP attempts to obtain a router ID in the following ways (in order of preference):

By means of the address configured using the bgp router-id command in router configuration mode.
By using the highest IPv4 address on a loopback interface in the system if the router is booted with saved loopback address configuration.
By using the primary IPv4 address of the first loopback address that gets configured if there are not any in the saved configuration.
If none of these methods for obtaining a router ID succeeds, BGP does not have a router ID and cannot establish any peering sessions with BGP neighbors. In such an instance, an error message is entered in the system log, and the show bgp summary command displays a router ID of 0.0.0.0.

稍微翻译一下啊：

1） 采用配置BGP router-id命令用到的地址
2） 如果路由器启动时使用了有loopback接口地址的配置， 采用loopback接口中最高的IPv4地址
3） 如果没有其它loopback接口，采用第一个loopback接口上的主IPv4地址

如果以上3种方法都不能成功获得一个router ID， BGP就没有router ID， 并且不能和自己的BGP邻居建立连接。  在这种情况下，系统log里就会有一个错误信息， 而且 “show bgp summary” 命令会显示0.0.0.0这个router ID.

有可能你在一个路由器上没配 BGP router ID，并且没有使用任何的loopback接口，所以在对端BGP邻居就有你看到的那个错误信息。
