Job Title: Technical Trainer        Department: Training (3500)

Position Overview

Develops, updates and delivers technical and solutions training courses for customers, sales personnel, business partners and/or employees in the use of complex situations for multiple products.


Responsibilities
•        Delivers technical product training to external customers and internal employees
•        Interacts with customer and functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses.
•        Prepares lesson plans from engineering documentation, field service requirements or software documentation
•        Works with engineering, technical support and manufacturing to ensure that course material reflects current product features
•        Instructs participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions
•        Follows up to determine applicability of course material
•        Manage their own local training lab

Requirements
•        3 to 5 years networking industry experience as a Technical Trainer; network equipment testing is a plus
•        Course development of technical courses from concept through delivery
•        Knowledge of networking technologies, protocols, services and applications including Ethernet, Metro Ethernet, IPv4/IPv6, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, MPLS VPNs, QoS, VoIP and TCP
•        Strong verbal and written communication skills
•        Must be able to operate independently juggling multiple competing priorities
•        Must be able to quickly pick up on new technologies and tools
•        Must be recognized as technically competent on two or more areas of technology


Education
•        Bachelors of Science in Computer Networking or equivalent experience

Desirable
•        Development of web-based training courses
•        Experience delivering Professional Services in a consultancy position
•        Wireless experience in either an LTE or Wifi environment
•        Cisco certification
