OSI七层的问题

同一网段的两台主机通信依赖的不是IP，而是MAC，如果你老师不承认，那你就请他详细阅读《TCP/IP详解第一卷》(W.Richard Stevens)，如果他还不承认，那么你就可以申请退费了，这样的老师就是误人子弟，谢谢！

要想找到某一个具体的人，就需要他的MAC，因为MAC是唯一存在的。 IP地址：有公网和私网，单存靠IP是不可以固定某一个人的。

MAC地址用来唯一地标识网络中的一个节点，当然要MAC地址啦……
IP相当于你的名字，MAC相当于你的身份证号

Sorry. My lab computer doesn't have chinese input. I hope you can understand my poor English.
We want Data successfully delivered from source to destination. It could be done in many different ways. But it is much less efficient when everybody use different standards. That is why we have OSI model(Even TCP/IP is more popular.) Since we understand the function of each layer, we easily find the model is like our post office delivery system. MAC is like physical address on the earth. Your name is like IP address. we can have the same IP address, but MAC is global unique. For example, when you mail letter to somebody, you need to write your name, address, recipient's name and address. During the delivering process, postman never read person's name. Recipient must read name and address to make sure letter is for him/her. Vice versa, you cannot identify the letter is for you by only check the name. Therefore, we have to provide enough information in order to deliver successfully. Even the info is not going to be used for each individual process.

你要去一个地方，
router 就是一个路标，IP指明朝哪个方向走；
MAC地址相当于地址门牌号，唯一确定的，（知道方向了还要知道哪里停下来）
物理层就是去的方法了，通过电线、光纤、无线电波传输等（坐灰机、汽车、火车、走路）
