                                                            About the Position:JTAC Engineer based in Beijing, provide post-sales support on routing products
Responsibilities:

Delivers high-quality global technical assistance for Juniper Networks products, through telephone and electronic communication. Provides experienced hardware and software technical support, including escalated configuration assistance and troubleshooting of products and peripheral systems, for timely resolution of issues. Retains ownership of customer issues and resolves the majority of issues with some guidance from manager or more senior engineers. Continues to develop detailed knowledge and troubleshooting skills in specific technologies.

• Provides experienced hands-on technical assistance for resolving customer hardware and software issues.
• Troubleshoots and documents resolution of complex customer problems.
• Resolves the majority of assigned cases successfully and documents the most complex customer problems for escalation.
• Proactively shares knowledge with peers.
• Documents all actions taken toward resolving customer issues in customer contact tracking database.
• Continues to develop detailed knowledge and troubleshooting skills in specific technologies.
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of customer troubleshooting engineer experience in related technologies.
• Excellent engineering troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong operating and troubleshooting knowledge across the following routing and switching technologies: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS (L2 & L3 VPN), Multicast protocols (IGMP, PIM, NGMVPN, Draft Rosen etc.)
• Extensive and deep knowledge in IP networking in layers 2-4 (TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLANs, VLAN stacking, QoS, Spanning Tree (STP, RSTP), RIP, VRRP, IGMP)
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the following would be an advantage: SDN, Unix/Linux administrator skills,Vistualization, Cloud, BRAS, Scripting
• Practical knowledge of L1/L2 technologies: Ethernet, SONET/SDH, ATM, Frame Relay
• Working experience with traffic generators and network protocols analysis tools, such as IXIA, Spirent, etc.
